Despite its formidable nickname, “The Land of Fire & Ice,” solo travel in Iceland is both comfortable and straightforward. The city of Reykjavik, renowned for its vibrant music scene and nightlife, ensures that connecting with locals and fellow travelers is effortlessly enjoyable.

Iceland’s allure extends far beyond its safety, with its natural beauty taking center stage. During a summer escapade through Europe, Geneva left a lasting impression as one of my favorite spots. Offering access to the lakeshore, the iconic Jet d’Eau, Parc de la Grange, and more, it provides the perfect immersion into Swiss culture.

Switzerland consistently ranks among the top 10 safest countries globally. While violent crime is exceptionally rare, it’s essential to stay vigilant against petty crimes like pickpocketing and occasional theft of vehicles, including bikes, particularly in larger cities.

With that in mind, Switzerland is tailor-made for solo journeys and stands as an excellent destination for solo female travelers.

Embark on an adventure amidst the glaciers, beaches, and fjords of New Zealand, where some of the world’s most stunning landscapes await exploration.

New Zealand stands out as one of the most accessible solo travel destinations, boasting excellent infrastructure, safety, and an ideal setting for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure sports lovers alike.

For those eager to connect with fellow travelers, consider joining an adventure tour or staying in one of the many hostels in New Zealand. Alternatively, if you seek a retreat from the world, renting a motorhome and embarking on a self-driving tour across the country provides an excellent opportunity.

A New Zealand road trip is a highly popular and immersive way to experience the breathtaking beauty and diverse offerings of this enchanting country.

You should also explore the bigger cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and the stunning Gold Coast, but don’t limit yourself—rent a car and hit the road.

The prevalence of English as the common language in Australia makes navigation exceptionally easy for native speakers as well!

Almost everywhere you go in Canada, you’ll find yourself immersed in multiculturalism and treated to some of the most breathtaking landscapes your eyes have ever beheld.

Canadians are renowned for being the friendliest people globally, and as you travel alone in this country, you’ll experience firsthand why that reputation holds true!

Exploring the Land of the Rising Sun offers an incredible experience with its captivating Japanese culture. Tokyo, in particular, stands out as a generally safe city for solo female travelers, and navigating it is made easy with the efficiency of the city’s comprehensive train system.

Additionally, Japan offers female-only train cabins, and certain hotels provide accommodations with female-only floors!

Make the most of your trip by singing your heart out at karaoke, indulging in the best culinary delights in Tokyo, or exploring the iconic Harajuku district. If you’re a devoted foodie like me, don’t miss the chance to savor these delectable local Japanese dishes.

Dubai stands out as a city unlike any other on the planet. Boasting bold architecture and an extravagant style, the largest city in the United Arab Emirates is a unique blend of its Bedouin heritage and an ultra-modern culture of its own.

Dubai not only lives up to its reputation but goes above and beyond to exceed your expectations. Dive into the glitz and glam, and then delve into the ancient traditions that add depth to this multifaceted city.

Although traveling to Dubai as a woman, especially on a solo trip, may not be the initial choice for everyone, Dubai proves to be a fantastic destination for solo travel!

Violent crime is low in Dubai, and tourists generally encounter nothing worse than occasional pickpocketing. For solo female travelers, it’s crucial to be mindful of two major aspects while in the UAE: your behavior and attire in public to avoid violating local rules.

Although this might seem unusual, particularly if you’re from a Western country, it’s important to recognize and respect the differences in culture. It’s advisable to familiarize yourself with the local customs before heading to any conservative country!
